Refund & Cancellation

Terms of use for www.ssei.co.in. Please read carefully before using our website or purchasing our services. Last updated: 01/07/2026.

Note:

This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs all course purchases, subscriptions, and program enrolments made through the SSEI website and platform.

By completing a purchase, you agree to the terms below. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

This policy covers two broad categories of offerings.

  • - Exam-prep courses — CA, CFA, FRM and similar certification programs.
  • - Practical / skill-based programs — Analyst Stack, Financial Modelling, Prudentia, and other applied-finance courses, including self-paced, cohort-based, and capstone or project-graded formats.

General Policy

Except where a specific refund policy is expressly stated on the Platform for a particular course, program, or offer, all fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable. Course access, study materials, recorded lectures, and digital content are made available to you immediately upon enrolment. Because these are digital goods consumed on access, they are treated as final-sale items.

When a Refund May Be Granted

Where a refund is expressly permitted (for example, under a launch offer, a documented service failure, or a duplicate/erroneous payment), it will be handled as follows:

  • - It will be processed strictly in accordance with the refund terms disclosed at the time of purchase.
  • - It may be subject to deductions for administrative charges, applicable taxes (GST), and third-party payment-gateway fees.
  • - It will be issued via bank transfer to an account in the student’s name, or to another method specified by SSEI. Refunds are generally not processed back to the original payment instrument (for example, UPI payments are refunded by bank transfer). The student must provide valid bank details (account holder name, account number, and IFSC) on request.
  • - It will be processed within 15–30 days of approval and submission of valid bank details.
  • - Duplicate / failed transactions: If you are charged more than once for the same enrolment, or charged for a transaction that did not result in access, write to us within 7 days and the excess amount will be refunded in full.

What Is Not Eligible for a Refund

Refunds will not be granted for:

  • - Partial attendance, non-attendance, or early withdrawal from a course or program.
  • - Failure to complete a course, assessment, mock test, capstone, or program.
  • - Dissatisfaction with learning outcomes, results, grades, evaluation feedback, or exam performance.
  • - Inability to access the Platform due to user-side issues (device, browser, internet connectivity, outdated software, or incorrect login handling).
  • - Change of mind, change of exam attempt, personal or professional commitments, or non-utilisation of purchased content.

Combined / Bundled Packages

All purchases of combined or bundled packages (e.g. multi-subject, multi-level, or “full course” bundles) are final and non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to exam deferrals, personal commitments, medical situations, employment changes, dissatisfaction, or non-utilisation. Individual components of a bundle cannot be separately refunded or transferred.

Practical / Skill-Based Programs (Analyst Stack, Financial Modelling, Prudentia, etc.)

Applied-finance programs may be delivered as self-paced content, live or scheduled cohorts (batches), or capstone/project-graded courses. The following apply in addition to Sections 1–3:

  • - Self-paced programs are treated as digital goods. Once content or materials are accessed, fees are non-refundable per Section 1.
  • -Cohort / batch-based programs: Fees are non-refundable once enrolled, including for missed live sessions or non-attendance after the batch begins.
  • - Batch transfers: Subject to availability and seat limits, SSEI may, at its discretion, allow a one-time transfer to a later batch instead of a refund.
  • - Capstone, project, and graded programs (e.g. Prudentia): Once a capstone, model template, evaluation, or graded brief has been delivered, submitted, or accessed, the program is treated as consumed and is non-refundable. Refunds are not granted on the basis of grades, evaluation outcomes, or dissatisfaction with feedback.
  • - Tools, datasets, and downloadable templates (Excel models, datasets, toolkits) are non-refundable once downloaded or accessed.

Instalment / Part-Payment Plans

Where an instalment or part-payment plan is offered:

  • - The full balance must be cleared within the timeframe communicated in writing by SSEI.
  • - If an instalment is not paid by its due date, SSEI reserves the right to suspend access to the course. Access is reinstated only on receipt of the outstanding balance.
  • - If dues remain unpaid for 12 months, the enrolment is treated as null and void, and the student must repurchase the course at the then-applicable price. Amounts already paid are not refunded.

How to Request a Refund or Raise a Dispute

All refund and dispute requests must be raised in writing by email. Even if you first reach us by phone or call, a follow-up email is mandatory. Only emailed requests are treated as valid records and acted upon. Telephone conversations alone do not constitute a refund request.

Email the following to our support team at info@ssei.co.in:

  • - Registered name and email / phone used at purchase
  • - Order / transaction ID
  • - A copy of the invoice / payment receipt received at the time of purchase
  • - Course name and date of purchase
  • - Reason for the request, with any supporting documents
  • - Bank details for the refund (account holder name, account number, IFSC), if a refund is approved
