All you need to know about the CMA intermediate-Indirect Taxation – June’2016
CMA or Cost Management Accounting is highly sought after by companies and employers. The CMA course has three stages, namely CMA foundation, CMA intermediate, and CMA final. While one can join the foundation course after passing 12th, the intermediate degree has different eligibility criteria.
Eligibility for CMA-Intermediate
- Candidate should be of 18 years of age or above
- One can register for the CMA intermediate exam after completing graduation from a recognised university or after passing the foundation exams.
- Those awaiting graduation results can register for provisional admission.
Exam Pattern and structure
The CMA intermediate course consists of two groups of four papers each. In order to clear a group a candidate has to secure an aggregate of 50 % and 40% in each individual subject. Each paper is worth 100 marks and a candidate is allowed three hours to complete the paper.
The first exam for the new 2016 syllabus will take place in December 2016. The following table shows the syllabus according to modules.
